Your path to lasting balance and health: the integrative rcc model

The result of an eclectic synthesis of five models.

1. Your personal compass — based on the rcc model

Every journey begins with a clear vision. The rcc model is your personal compass and the foundation that helps you find a sustainably healthy rhythm for your life. This is not about rigid rules or self-optimisation, but about a flexible balance — your own rhythm across three key resources:

  • relax: Rest mindfully, regenerate properly, act efficiently.
  • concentrate: Think with focus, plan with purpose, act with motivation.
  • create: Think freely, spark your creativity, find breakthrough solutions.

The platform is designed to help you develop awareness of these three areas in your life and to manage them consciously. Mastering these capabilities forms the foundation for your personal strength, health and resilience — making you less vulnerable to strain, stress and exhaustion.

2. The spark of change — based on the Health Belief Model (HBM)

Change begins with an inner conviction. The Health Belief Model (HBM), which we draw on, explains that you only change your behaviour if you are convinced it will benefit you. The rcc platform strengthens this motivation by giving you a personal and honest view of your situation.

  • Perceived Susceptibility: The platform's self-assessment helps you recognise your personal susceptibility to stress or burnout. Indicators such as the burnout or resilience indicator provide a data-backed, honest read on your situation.
  • Perceived benefit: The knowledge base and the Web-Based Training show you clearly what positive consequences a change can have for your life. You learn, on an evidence basis, how to free yourself from the negative consequences and to build new resources.
  • Perceived barriers: The platform's activity calendar shows you where you are unconsciously spending energy. The integrated analysis tools and the data-protection-compliant rcc assistant help you identify and overcome these barriers by using the time and resources in your daily life more effectively.
  • Cues to Action: Taken as a whole, the rcc platform is your daily cue to action. It reminds you of your measures, shows you new insights, and encourages you to take the next step towards your goals.

3. Your personal roadmap — based on the Transtheoretical Model (TTM)

Once your motivation is present and tangible, you need a clear plan. The Transtheoretical Model (TTM), which we draw on, describes the stages of behaviour change — and the rcc project is your structured roadmap, accompanying you step by step from the initial decision to the lasting anchoring of new behaviours.

  • Phase "Arriving" (TTM: Contemplation): You recognise a problem but still hesitate. In the first analysis, the platform helps you gain clarity about your existing resources (protective factors) and risks (burdening factors) and to find your bearings.
  • Phase "Setting goals and taking action" (TTM: Preparation & Action): You have the will to change, but you are not sure how to break big goals down into small, achievable steps. The platform helps you formulate concrete, doable measures and track their implementation in the journal.
  • Phase "Self-reflection & anchoring" (TTM: Maintenance): You have had some first successes, but it is hard to stay the course. The weekly summaries and evaluations make your progress visible and strengthen your motivation to keep going.

4. Your implementation — based on the COM-B model

Once your motivation is sparked and your plan (project period, measures and goals) is in place, it all comes down to implementation. The COM-B model goes a step further and asks: "Why do we sometimes fail to act even when we are motivated?" It identifies three reasons: a lack of Capability, a lack of Opportunity, or a lack of Motivation. The rcc platform was designed to support you in all three areas.

  • Capability: The platform equips you with the right tools. The Web-Based Training gives you the knowledge to strengthen your capabilities (relax, concentrate, create). The rcc assistant helps you translate this knowledge into practice by suggesting concrete exercises and prompts for reflection.
  • Opportunity: The platform creates the best conditions for your change. It is accessible at any time and from any device, which minimises the physical hurdle (time, place). The option to exchange with specialist professionals also gives you the social support you need for long-term success.
  • Motivation: The platform strengthens your motivation on two levels. Reflective motivation is fostered by the weekly summaries and the evaluations, which make your progress visible. Automatic motivation is strengthened by the daily use of the journal, which establishes small positive habits and turns them into a firm part of your everyday life.

5. Your belief in yourself — based on Bandura's self-efficacy concept

The belief in your own ability to accomplish a task successfully is the strongest predictor of behaviour change. The rcc platform deliberately builds up your self-efficacy by giving you the opportunity to gather four crucial experiences:

  1. Mastery experiences: The platform makes your small successes visible. When you note in your weekly summary that you have mastered a challenge, and the platform then shows you a positive trend in your evaluation, that strongly reinforces your belief in your own abilities.
  2. Vicarious experiences: On the platform you can read success stories from others who have mastered a similar challenge. That creates the feeling: "If others can do this, so can I."
  3. Verbal persuasion: The platform's rcc assistant — and, if you wish, your personal specialist — will give you targeted encouragement and positive feedback that supports you in difficult moments and strengthens your belief in yourself.
  4. Physiological and Affective States: The rcc platform helps you understand your physiological states. By noting feelings such as tiredness, strain, stress, or inner calm and joy in your journal, you learn to read your body's signals and to see them not as a threat but as a source of information. This reduces your worries and strengthens your ability to stay in control.
