This activity is not suitable online.

Description Long

The group is given a set of predefined words and uses them to create a short scene or story. The text should rhyme, in the style of a traditional Schnitzelbank verse, known from carnival traditions. The given words should be smoothly and thematically integrated into the text. Each person contributes at least one line using one of the assigned words. Once the text is complete, the group performs the story as a sketch. Depending on the time available, several rounds can be played.

Preparation

  • Slips of paper with predefined words (e.g. related to the workshop theme)
  • Paper and pens for noting down the rhymes

Execution

  1. The method is explained.
  2. The predefined words are shown or handed out to the group.
  3. Each person creates at least one line using one of the words.
  4. The story is performed by the group as a sketch.

Hints from experience

  • Keeping the preparation time short can boost the creativity that unfolds during the performance.
