Description Long

A group of five to ten people sits around a table. In the centre are a wrapped chocolate bar (additionally wrapped in gift wrap or newspaper), cutlery, a scarf, a pair of sunglasses or ski goggles, a pair of gloves, a hat, and a die.

One group member starts by rolling the die and then passes it on. As soon as someone rolls a six, they must quickly put on all the clothing items and the goggles, and may then try to unwrap the chocolate using the cutlery. Meanwhile, the die continues to be passed around. When another player rolls a six, the clothes and cutlery are handed over, and the new player takes over unwrapping and eating the chocolate. The game ends once the chocolate has been completely eaten. The aim is to eat as much chocolate as possible.

Preparation

  • Buy and wrap the chocolate.
  • Organise cutlery, gloves, a scarf, glasses, a hat and a die.

Execution

  1. All participants are asked to sit around a table.
  2. The rules of the game are explained.
  3. The first person begins by rolling the die and immediately passes it on. As soon as someone rolls a six, that person must quickly put on all the clothing items and the goggles, take the cutlery, and start unwrapping and eating the chocolate.
  4. Meanwhile, the die continues to be passed around. As soon as someone else rolls a six, the current player must quickly remove the costume and hand it over to the new player.
  5. The game ends when the chocolate has been completely eaten.
  6. The game is intended primarily for fun, so there is no need to declare a winner. Alternatively, the person who ate the most chocolate can be named the winner.

Hints from experience

  • Dark chocolate works better than milk chocolate, as it is harder and therefore more difficult to chew.
  • To increase the level of difficulty, use a spoon instead of a fork – don’t just stick to the usual knife and fork.
  • Both young and old enjoy the game.
  • The costume can be chosen freely and used to adjust the level of difficulty.
