Break without digital assistance

This method allows workshop participants to take a break without digital devices. This is intended to encourage conversation among participants and allow them to forget about the digital world for a while. The focus should be on others or nature, not on a screen.

Genaue Beschreibung

The workshop participants are asked to take a break without their digital devices. They are requested to place their smartphones and other devices into a provided box or bag. This encourages more conversation within the group and allows participants to better process what they have experienced. Ideally, participants would share their thoughts on the workshop during the break, but this can be difficult to manage. For example, participants could be given a task or a question to reflect on during the break. However, the primary aim is for the break to serve as a time for relaxation. As an additional challenge, participants could be informed that they should return after a set amount of time. This might be a small challenge for some, particularly if they don't wear a watch, which could prompt them to reflect on questions such as: "How dependent am I on digital devices?" or "Could I spend a day without my phone?"
